Cyence: Design for a multifaceted platform
Cyence is a platform-as-a-service for businesses offering investing solutions to their customers. This platform is an ecosystem of solutions connecting investors, advisors, administrators, and portfolio managers through streamlined workflows, persona-specific experiences, and business-specific customization of brand, products, and features.
As the lead designer, I drove the end-to-end design work for the platform. This includes building the design library, optimizing the information architecture across the products in the ecosystem (including mobile apps), and detailed design to support development.

WorkWise: Service digitization
To reduce cost and improve customer experience, a major service provider wanted to convert hundreds of PDF forms into a digital format. However, initial research led me to redefine the real problem - a fragmented, manual, and error-prone workflow.

Through iterative discovery, ideation, and testing cycles, I gave shape to the vision of integrated digital workflows which made PDF forms obsolete. As a radically new concept for the domain, this required significant effort towards communicating the vision, verifying the benefits, and gaining support from leadership as well as early adopters.

ReportGen: Innovating remote design sprints
ReportGen, a feature within a larger product suite, faced declining user satisfaction as expectations evolved. To address this, I led a remote design sprint to understand needs, ideate improvements, and validate them with clients.
As the design lead tasked with the discovery phase of the project, I adapted the traditional design sprint methodology for a remote setting due to pandemic constraints. This process not only revitalized ReportGen but also established a new standard for conducting all future design workshops remotely, enhancing our team's problem-solving, discovery, and collaboration capabilities.

Worklist: Strategic design for business acquisition
A major client merger presented an opportunity to win $170B USD in combined assets from a competitor. The challenge was to demonstrate our digital offerings' superiority in meeting complex user needs across multiple personas, given the need to differentiate our solutions in a price-competitive market.
I collaborated closely with stakeholders to identify key personas and workflows. I facilitated cross-functional ideation, leading to innovative feature concepts that outperformed competitors. My strategic approach ensured the final product not only secured this client but also added value for similar clients and prospects.

Onesign: Mobile authorization app
Onesign is a mobile app that allows investors to understand, review, and authorize actions that their advisors need to take when managing their portfolio. This app is a crucial part of a larger digital ecosystem, transforming paper-based processes into streamlined digital experiences.
In this project, I worked with a mobile product team to translate the complex underlying financial processes into simple digital interactions on phone screens. This work on optimizing the investor experience removed a major bottleneck in the delivery of services that are digital across all touchpoints.

AdvisorPro: Revolutionizing financial advisory services
AdvisorPro is a groundbreaking digital platform that provides fintechs the ability to create solutions based on aggregated and refined investor data. This innovative solution addresses a critical industry challenge and is projected to generate significant returns on a $150M investment within five years.
Initially, my role was to drive product strategy and shape the overall digital experience vision. I facilitated collaborative workshops with stakeholders, conducted user research with financial advisors, and brought clarity to the solution architecture. Following this, I led a team in the design of product solutions to demonstrate the power of the platform.

Optifi: AI-powered business advice
Optifi is an innovative AI-driven platform that serves as a "business advisor on every desktop." It empowers executives and staff in large organizations to proactively address challenges and plan for change, reducing reliance on expensive consultants.
As lead designer, I crafted the user experience for this complex AI tool, making it intuitive and accessible. I conducted extensive user research to understand diverse user needs, designed the information architecture, and created interactive prototypes. My work ensured that sophisticated AI capabilities were translated into user-friendly interfaces, driving adoption across various organizational levels.

Simpler licensing services for the Department of Services
As part of a broad optimization of regulations at the State level, the department needed to streamline the issuing of licences for regulated occupations. This is currently a very fragmented service, with varying levels of digitization, different approaches to testing for the same requirements, and significant burden for some businesses and individuals.
My role on this project included the translation of complex and varied service structures across multiple regulatory agencies into a single common framework, defining the key dimensions of change needed to evolve the service towards the vision, and coordinate the roadmap with the broader reform program.

Online learning in business design
Business design lies at the intersection of business architecture, business architecture, and implementation of change or transformation. This expertise is critical in large, complex organisations facing disruptive change, but is fragmented and not mature.
This online learning program contains nearly 40 courses covering business design skills at several levels of expertise. I was responsible for gathering and creating content, building downloadable tools and templates, as well as recording and editing lesson videos.

Visualizing governance for the Security Directorate
As part of a broad optimization of regulations at the State level, the department needed to streamline the issuing of licences for regulated occupations. This is currently a very fragmented service, with varying levels of digitization, different approaches to testing for the same requirements, and significant burden for some businesses and individuals.

Commonwealth Pier: Streamlining charitable giving
Commonwealth Pier is a digital platform that simplifies strategic giving through Donor-Advised Funds. It connects donors, advisors, and charities, streamlining the process of contributing funds and recommending grants to various organizations.
On this project, I redesigned key features like the grant recommendation process, contribution tracking, and investment management. My work focused on deeply understanding donor behavior, mapping needs, and translating this into a multi-device experience which encourages online engagement and simplified tax-efficient charitable giving for both new and experienced philanthropists.
